Stop selling not-being-wrong. Start selling the close.
"$14,200, minus a verified incentive, here is the source and the date I checked it" wins the jobs that "there might be rebates, ask your utility" loses.
One verified incentive, applied. Not a projection, not a stack of maybes — the line that survives two independent readings of the programme document.
What you get, concretely
The installation date decides the amount — not the purchase date, not the invoice, not the approval. A job sold in December and installed in January pays at January's amount, and the application window is 60 days after installation. The gas fireplace is the exception: install it and submit a complete application by 2026-12-31, even if the 60 days would run later (Energy Trust Insider, 2026-09-15).
Which programme administers this address, and what it pays — while you are still standing there.
Every applicable programme listed separately, with its own source link and date.
Whether the money is still there. No contractual minimum notice has been found.
What has to happen before you order equipment, and whether a pre-install step exists.
The application window is 60 days after installation. The installation date decides the amount. The gas fireplace is the exception: its incentive also needs a complete application submitted by 2026-12-31.
What I could not confirm and where to confirm it — instead of a confident guess.
Where the record is thin
Oregon reads AMOUNTS VERIFIED, not VERIFIED: the amounts are dual-verified and dated, but whether Energy Trust programmes require an inspection or a pre-install assessment is not published anywhere. That is the largest single gap in the Oregon record, and it is why the badge stops where it does. Nevada is RESEARCH and I am not booking work there.
Incentive amounts dual-verified and dated. Inspection and pre-install requirements are not published by any programme.
Energy Trust of Oregon administers efficiency programmes for five utilities: two electric, three gas. One rule set covers most of the state.
What is verified is amounts. Of 130 mapped ZIPs, 66 resolve cleanly to Energy Trust and 59 are marked partial — the territory is not uniform inside the ZIP.
What is not verified: whether Energy Trust programmes require an inspection or a pre-install assessment. Nothing published says either way. That is why this badge does not say VERIFIED.
Programme inventory built. Key efficiency thresholds are not published by the utilities that use them.
SRP, TEP, UniSource, SSVEC and Mohave Electric Cooperative amounts are recorded. Three separate rule sets, with different bases — per-unit against per-ton.
TEP and UniSource both require a quality-installation inspection and neither publishes the efficiency thresholds that decide eligibility. That is not a gap in my research; it is a gap in what they publish.
Efficiency Arizona references a date that has already passed and no page states applications are open. No figure is served for it.
Primary sources could not be read. Actively working it.
Every NV Energy URL returned an empty shell. I could not confirm whether a residential heat pump rebate exists, what it pays, or how to enrol as a trade ally. That is the honest state of it.
What could be confirmed is mostly absence. Southwest Gas Nevada’s 2026 residential rebate application offers no heat pump incentive. The Green Building Tax Abatement was discontinued 2021-07-01.
Nevada Clean Energy Fund’s RE-UP is financing, not a rebate: $3,000–$50,000 at 7.50–12.00%. It should never be quoted as an incentive.
The major programmes are reserved or fully subscribed. Not booking work here.
As of November 14, 2025, TECH Clean California single-family heat pump water and heat pump HVAC incentives are fully reserved and not accepting new reservations. HEEHRA single-family was fully reserved 2026-02-24. Energy-Smart Homes was fully subscribed 2026-04-20.
Of the programmes surveyed, 34 returned a first-pass status of live. First-pass is not optional wording — none of them carries a served figure here.
What survives is municipal utilities and community choice aggregators, each with its own exhaustion clock. None is large enough to sell a job on.

The free review is the front door. Enrolment is the second ask, for the ones it worked for.
