Punchlist Rebates

Free, ungated

Seven one-pagers

Print them, hand them to your techs, put them on the van. No email required, no form, no download gate. They're useful without buying anything — that's the entire point of them, and putting them behind a form would turn a useful thing into a lead magnet.

Sheet 1

Before you schedule the job

The four-minute check that protects the rebate. If only one of these exists, it is this one.

1 IS THE ADDRESS IN THE RIGHT TERRITORY?
ZIP is not enough. 40 of 130 mapped Oregon ZIPs have more
than one electric utility, and in 14 of them the gas customer is
Energy Trust eligible while the electric customer at the SAME
   ADDRESS is not.

2 DOES ANYTHING HAVE TO HAPPEN BEFORE YOU ORDER?
Income-qualified programmes often require approval first. Ordering
early can make the job permanently ineligible. It cannot be fixed
   afterwards.

3 ARE YOU ENROLLED FOR THIS MEASURE?
Some amounts can only be claimed by a participating trade ally.

4 IS THE MODEL ON THE QUALIFYING LIST?
Not "is it efficient" — is it on the list. Get the AHRI reference
for the matched system, not the outdoor unit alone.

5 WILL SOMEONE COME OUT TO VERIFY IT?
If yes: who schedules it, and how long do you have?

6 WHAT DOES YOUR TECH HAVE TO CAPTURE BEFORE LEAVING?
Photos before removal · photos after install · nameplate
photographed, not transcribed · AHRI reference · invoice wording

7 IS THE PROGRAMME STILL FUNDED?
Programmes close mid-year without announcement. Ask before you
   promise.

Sheet 2

When the programme sends someone out

What to expect from a verification visit, and who does what.

WHO SCHEDULES IT
Depends on the programme. Sometimes you, sometimes the implementer,
sometimes the customer. Find out which BEFORE you book the install —
"I assumed they'd call" is the most common way a window gets missed.

BEFORE THE INSTALL
· Confirm verification is required
· Tell the homeowner someone may need access
· Confirm you are eligible to do the work

DURING THE INSTALL — your tech, four minutes
· Photos of the old equipment BEFORE removal
· Photos of the new equipment installed
· Nameplate photographed so model and serial are legible
· AHRI reference for the matched system
· Commissioning form if required

AFTER
· Confirm the visit is booked, and by whom
· Confirm it falls inside the programme window
· If corrections are needed, get the list in writing the same day

IF IT FAILS
Most failures are documentation, not workmanship. Corrections usually
have a deadline. Get the list, fix it, get reinspected, keep every date.

I DO NOT SCHEDULE OR CONTROL THE INSPECTION.
I tell you it is coming, put the paperwork together, and track it.

The order things have to happen in

Get this wrong and the rebate is gone. Not reduced — gone.

THE ONE THAT COSTS THE MOST
Ordering equipment before approval, on a programme that requires prior
approval. The equipment is bought, the job is ineligible, and the
customer was already told about the rebate.

If you are unsure whether a programme requires prior approval, ask
before you order. It is the cheapest call you will make.

Sheet 4

Is this job ready to submit?

The readiness checklist. Missing one item is the most common reason a file sits for weeks.

[ ] Customer name and service address match the utility account
[ ] Utility account number captured
[ ] Equipment make, model and serial — photographed, not typed
[ ] AHRI reference for the MATCHED system
[ ] Pre-install photos (before the old unit came out)
[ ] Post-install photos
[ ] Invoice with the line-item wording the programme accepts
[ ] Permit number, if required
[ ] Commissioning form, if required
[ ] Verification completed and approved, if required
[ ] Customer signature, if required
[ ] Submitted inside the deadline

Nothing is submitted until every applicable box is ticked.

Sheet 6

What a free project review is

The scope of the free review, and what it explicitly is not.

You send: the address ZIP, the equipment model, the customer's
situation. Not your customer's name or contact details.

You get back, inside 48 hours:
  · Which programmes apply — with a link to each, so you can check me
  · Whether anything must happen before you order equipment
  · Whether verification is required, and who schedules it
  · What the documentation has to contain
  · What I could not confirm, and where to confirm it

WHAT IT IS NOT
  · Not a promise of a rebate. The programme decides, not me
  · Not contact with your customer. I never speak to them
  · Not a commitment. One job, free, no follow-up obligation
  · Not equipment advice. I confirm what you chose is eligible.
I never suggest a different unit

WHY FREE
Because you have no reason to believe me yet.

Sheet 7

Frequently asked questions

The seven questions that come up on every first call.

"Do you submit the rebate for me?"
I prepare the file and track it. A human submits — never software,
and never without your sign-off.

"Do you talk to my customer?"
No. Ever. You own that relationship. I give you wording to use;
I never use it for you.

"Can you guarantee the rebate?"
No, and be careful with anyone who says otherwise. The programme
decides. What I do is make sure nothing in the file is the reason
it fails.

"What if the programme runs out of money?"
It happens, mid-year, usually without announcement. Nobody publishes
how contractors get told — that is exactly the gap. I track what I
can and tell you what I know and what I do not.

"Do you control the inspection?"
No. I identify that it is required, tell you before you book,
assemble the documentation and track it. The programme schedules it.

"What does it cost?"
The first project review is free. After that we talk. I would rather
you find out whether this is useful before anyone discusses money.

"What do you need from my tech?"
About four minutes before they leave the driveway: photos before and
after, the nameplate photographed rather than transcribed, and the
AHRI reference.

Print any of these straight from the browser — the print stylesheet drops the navigation and the buttons. No pricing appears on any sheet, deliberately. Questions on any of them reach a person: (805) 719-8573.
